New Patients Health Checks

If you have just registered with us you will be asked to make an appointment with our Healthcare Assistant for a New Patient Check only if you have never had a GP in this country before and have come from abroad. As part of this check the Healthcare Assistant will want to test a urine sample. Please ask at Reception for a specimen bottle. By registering for a New Patient Check and attending you will successfully complete the registration process.

Please note: during a new patient check we will discuss your medical family history and will check your ethnicity, cigarette and alcohol consumption and perform various other health checks. We require such information in order to provide the best possible care for you.

For patients who already have been registered in the NHS, you will not need a new patient check as we will obtain all your history via the electonic links system.
